Does LimeProxies log my traffic

A clear answer to the question every security review asks.

What is recorded

Operational metadata needed to run and bill the service:

  • Which account a connection belongs to
  • Connection timestamps and duration
  • Bytes transferred
  • The proxy IP and port used
  • Authentication events, including failures

This is what appears on your usage dashboard and your invoice.

What is not recorded

  • The content of your requests and responses
  • Credentials, form data or anything inside an HTTPS session

HTTPS traffic passes through an encrypted CONNECT tunnel. The proxy forwards bytes it cannot read.

Retention

Operational records are kept for as long as they are needed for billing, abuse investigation and legal obligations, then removed.

What the target site still sees

The proxy protects your identity from the destination at the network layer. It does not stop you identifying yourself in other ways — logging into an account, carrying a tracking cookie, or running a browser fingerprint that is unique to you will all link your sessions regardless of the IP.
