What is an ISP proxy (static residential) and how is it different
An ISP proxy — also called a static residential proxy — is a residential IP address hosted on datacenter infrastructure. The address is registered to a consumer internet provider, so it looks residential to the target site, but it runs on a server, so it is fast and it stays assigned to you.

When to choose ISP proxies
- You need to keep the same address over days or weeks — managing accounts, monitoring a dashboard, anything the target ties to a known IP.
- You need residential trust but cannot accept residential latency.
- Your traffic volume would make bandwidth billing expensive.
When not to
If you need thousands of distinct addresses to spread load, a rotating residential pool gives you far more IP diversity than a fixed block of ISP addresses ever will.
